What is Gray Alliance?

Gray Alliance is a non-profit group of seniors ranging from 50 & up. You do not have to be exactly 50 or 100 years of age to join us. Membership is currently over 50 members and constantly growing.

Why Gray Alliance?

A casual informal way of Senior gays & lesbians to meet & share conversation, ideas, & lots more. No one is ever obligated to attend all functions. They are encouraged to attend at their convenience, as their own schedules will allow. We attend functions to have fun, make and be with friends and family!

What does Gray Alliance do?

Gray Alliance people have a monthly dinner out in the local Fresno area. We also meeet monthly on last Sundays at 2pm at First Congregational Church of Fresno, 2131 N Van Ness Blvd, in the Fireside Room for "Games and Snacks". Gray Alliance also puts out a monthly newsletter listing the locations of the dinners, member birthdays, photos of the previous month’s events as well as other interesting tidbits of information.

See Calendar below or read NewsLink for upcoming activities, or contact the Facilitator.

How much is the membership fee?

“ZERO” There is NO membership fee to join Gray Alliance. We may ask for a Bi-monthly donation to provide for our Gray Alliance mailing list. This includes postage, paper, envelopes, labels, etc. for our members that do not have a computer.

How do I contact Gray Alliance to join?

If you are interested in meeting other adult gay men & lesbians throughout the Central Valley, then all you need to do is call one of the phone numbers above.

Please Note:

Gray Alliance does not judge anyone by their level of education or income, political views, religion, single, coupled or looks. Gray Alliance maintains a respect of each other’s different views and ideas, and way of living in harmony with our society. All we expect in return are smiling faces & some pleasant hospitality from one another. Who said “being Gray & Gay is Dull?”, Believe me, within every Gray Alliance member are silver linings that are admired. We have discovered that there is a lot to learn, and very interesting conversations from one another due to life's maturity & adventures that may come with age.

Gray Alliance updates - March 20, 2015

GRAY ALLIANCE continues to grow person by person. Although not an especially large group, we have created a team of friends. Although 20 - 30 members is no small group either We are better for meeting one another. We are welcoming of any LGBTQ people nearing 50 and older. If this is you, please come visit to see if you would like to join us.
Each month we have three events. One is on the second Wednesday of each month we meet for dinner at 6pm. The second is on the last Sunday of each month we meet for a pot-luck social between 2-4pm. We ask that each person contribute towards the pot-luck so we are assured of enough food to feed each attendee. Third we have $5 Movie Day.
In February James Landra offered a presentation on the topic of 'Discrimination'. This certainly opened the door to remembering past discrimination, and realizing it's not completely in our past even today. Thank you James for a well prepared speech.
On March 29th, at Big Red Church Social, we have Nora sharing how she appeared on the front page of the San Francisco Chronicle Newspaper in 1995. If your interested in what/ where/how this wonderful lesbian feminist could manage this deed, please come join us as we find out.
For our March dinner we went to AJ's at Shaw & Maroa. This was an evening of limited parking since another large party was there at the same time. But once thru the door we received the same exemplary service we are use to. Wonderful service and wonderful food. This is a popular favorite restaurant we enjoy returning to.
On Tuesdays we have started our $5 movie day. Linda & Shirley & Audrey have been enjoying movies together for awhile. We recently added Emma. If you’re a movie buff too, just let Shirley know.
To recapture our monthly agenda; Second Wednesday of every month at 6pm, we meet for our Dinner Social at a TBA Location.
The Last Sunday of every month we meet between 2-4pm at the Big Red Church (BRC) for out Pot Luck Social.
Every Tuesday we meet for $5 Tuesday Movies.
In April our dinner social will be at GOOD EATS. The address is 7724 N First St; phone 559 261-0238. This is 5-star Chinese food. As we try to geographically move our dinner locations, North Fresno has revolved to the top of the list.
We will discuss our May dinner location at the social on Sunday, March 29 at 2pm.
Please contact Shirley at 559 269- 7479 if there are questions.
